Savoir Faire – Artistico Cut Sheet Packs: ¼ and ½ Sheet Sizes

Full size Artistico Watercolor sheets are the flagship product in Fabriano’s art paper line.  Artistico is a mould-made paper of 100% cotton, acid-free, chlorine-free and internally and externally sized using no animal fat.  It is the perfect combination of sizing, absorption and durability, allowing for total control.  Now, Fabriano has produced the same Artistico paper in 11”x14” quarter sheets (10-Pack) and 16”x20” half sheets (5-Pack), using both 140 lb. and 300 lb. weights.  The cut sheet packs are perfect for framing artwork in standard size frames, making smaller works and for travel.  All sizes retail for the same price; only the amount of sheets per pack varies.  They are available in Extra-White Hot Press and Cold Press surfaces.  See your retailer

Strathmore – Greener Options Feature New Charcoal Paper

Strathmore has a longstanding tradition of environmental stewardship, from pioneering the industry’s first line of recycled artist papers in 1972 to today’s first line of artist papers manufactured with 100% certified renewable energy.  The Windpower Series, manufactured with emissions-free, wind-generated electricity, includes five fine art pads—with two that feature 30% post-consumer waste to maximize the use of recycled materials.  Strathmore’s Premium Recycled Series and Artagain pads maximize the use of recycled fibers to include high levels of post-consumer waste fibers.  The popular sketch and drawing pads are available in a full range of sizes; and, with its fiber-enhanced surfaces, Artagain is ideal for soft pastels and charcoal.  For tree-friendly fibers, Strathmore’s growing collection includes papers made with cotton and hemp plant fibers.  Alternative fibers grow faster than trees and harvesting does not disturb natural ecosystems.

Strathmore’s new 400 Series Hemp Charcoal Paper pads have a traditional laid finish and provide an ideal foundation for charcoal and pastel but are suitable for oil crayon and other dry media, as well.  These are available in sizes 6”x9”, 9”x12”, 12”x12” and 6”x18” and come 24 sheets/pad.  See your retailer
